Cheltenham Festival 2020 Day Three Preview - a look at the big races each day of the Cheltenham Festival 2020 with odds from SBK.
A race that revolves around Faugheen, the 12 year-old has proven that the fire still burns and there aren’t many negatives with regards his chances of adding a further Cheltenham victory to his CV here. Itchy Feet and Reserve Tank look likeliest to follow ‘The Machine’ home.
- Faugheen – 6/1
- Reserve Tank – 14/1
- Itchy Feet – 7/2
Last year’s winner Frodon looks to have solid claims again, but he’ll have to step up on that performance to get past A Plus Tard who has looked a bit special this season. Min is top rated in the field but may have to settle for silver at the Festival once again.
- A Plus Tard – 2/1
- Min – 14/5
- Frodon – 27/5
Paisley Park takes aim at back-to-back victories in the race and he’s a short price to do so. He comfortably beat second favourite Summerville Boy at Cheltenham in January and so a bigger danger may come from a former winner of the race - Penhill. Unbeaten in two runs at Prestbury Park, he’s steadily come back to form this season, keeping on well in the Boyne Hurdle last time and may be primed to cause an upset.
- Penhill – 16/1
- Paisley Park - 5/7
- Summerville Boy - 44/5
Willie Mullins has won the four previous runnings of the race, he saddles the same number in this year’s renewal and on ratings at least, Concertista would hold a leading chance. However, as he did earlier this week in the Mares' Hurdle, the Irish trainer may have to play second fiddle to Henry De Bromhead, as his charge - Minella Melody - looks to hold an excellent chance of securing another Cheltenham victory for the stable.
- Minella Melody - 13/5
- Concertista - 19/2
- Floressa - 7/1
