What are Open Banking payments?
Also known as Online Banking Payments or Account-to-Account payments, Open Banking Payments allow you to securely pay for purchases you make online using existing funds from the bank account of your choosing.
Open Banking Payments were created to give you more control of your money and how you use it online. All you need is a UK bank account and your online banking credentials, there are no long card numbers to be remembered, stored or stolen.

Why was I redirected to my bank when making a deposit?
In some cases, you will be redirected to your bank when making a deposit. If your bank requires a redirect, you can complete the payment from your within your bank app or website
Can Trustly see my account balance?
You can see your own account balance when you pay with Trustly, but Trustly does not store information about your account balance.
Is Trustly licensed?
Trustly is a licensed payment institution authorised and supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. Trustly holds a European Payment Services Provider (PSP) license in accordance with the Payment Services Directive (PSD, 2007/64/EC).
Working with the major banks in the UK, Trustly is recognised by the government-sanctioned British Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE).
Is Trustly secure?
Trustly uses the highest encryption standard available, in addition to the banks' security systems. Trustly never stores any data that can be used to access your bank account. Trustly is certified by TÜV Saarland for TÜV geprüfter Datenschutz (Data protection)
What data does Trustly save?
You don’t have to register to use Trustly and they never store any information that can be used to access your bank account.
We allow you to save the account number and present it to you for an even faster experience. No one will be able to make a payment without strong authentication (e.g. fingerprint) and you can remove your saved account any time!

Can my bank set purchase limits on my Trustly transactions?
Trustly never places any limits on your spending, but banks can set limits on the number and value of transactions you can make. Please check with your bank for more details.
Why is there a transaction from Trustly on my bank statement?
If you see Trusty on your bank statement, it is because they have processed the deposit or withdrawal which you made online. Trustly is always free to use, there are no hidden fees or charges.
