2. Betting rules
Before placing a bet you should make yourself aware of the general betting rules rules in sections 6 which form a part of these house rules. Please also note that betting rules can vary between operators in the industry.
2.1 A bet can only be placed by you.
2.2 A bet can only be placed via the SBK app on a mobile phone.
2.3 You may only place a bet if you have sufficient funds in your SBK account.
2.4 Once settled, the bet will be governed by the version of Terms and Conditions and Betting Rules valid at the time the bet is accepted.
2.5 A bet is deemed to have been placed when confirmation of SBK’s acceptance of the bet is received on your mobile device.
2.6 You declare that at the time you place a bet, you have no knowledge as to the outcome of the respective events. Bets on games in which you have gained access to insider information are not allowed. Where there is a suspicion of a violation of this rule, SBK retains the right to void the bet and refuse to pay out winnings. It also retains the right to take any further action to protect its legitimate interests and to comply with other laws and regulations.
2.7 You will be automatically deemed to have insider information if you are identified as a professional or collegiate athlete, team employee or owner, coach, manager, handler, athletic trainer, league official or employee, referee, umpire, sports agent, or employee of a player or referee union, as well as those within the same household of the above, and you place a wager on a sport in which you participate.
2.8 Bets placed after the outcome of an event has been determined may be voided at SBK’s sole discretion.
2.9 SBK retains the right to suspend any market and to cancel existing offers, if necessary. Any pending bets due to an in-play betting delay will be rejected and stake will be refunded to the patron’s balance.
2.10 A list of all the bets, their status and details are available to you on the SBK “Open Bets” tab.
2.11 Should SBK decide to close your account, bets which have already been placed will be honored and you will be paid any winnings on those bets.
2.12 All bets are matched and payoffs calculated based on percentage odds; any bets submitted in decimal, fractional or American odds formats are first rounded to the nearest 100th of a percent. For example a payout under the decimal odds format for a single wager is calculated as follows: stake * decimal odds. If a patron bets $10 at odds of 2.0, the patron will receive a return of $20 if they win. Once you subtract the stake you invested, it leaves you with a profit of $10.
2.13 The conversion to percentage odds can result in rounding to the nearest penny for both wager stake and winnings paid to customers.
2.14 A mistake regarding the details of a bet placement will not influence the validity of the bet.
2.15 When you place a bet, you acknowledge that you have read and understood in full all of the terms and conditions and game rules regarding the bets offered by SBK as stated in these rules.
2.16 When placing a bet, you are aware that slower devices or internet speeds may hamper user experience and provide disadvantages when navigating the site and placing bets on SBK.
2.17 SBK manages your account, calculates the available funds, the pending funds, the betting funds as well as the amount of the winnings. Unless proved otherwise, these amounts are considered as final and are deemed to be accurate.
2.18 You must check that the stake and potential payout are correct before placing bets.
2.19 A straight wager resulting in a push will be considered “no action” and the original stake will be refunded.
2.20 Parlay Wagers:
- Payoffs on parlay wagers are determined using standard Money Line calculations.
- Pushes and refunds in a parlay cause the wager to reduce the payoff bracket representing the number of remaining teams. If the parlay reduces to just a single event, the single event becomes a straight wager.
- When you place any full cover wager, you will receive any profit from the individual legs as soon
as possible. For example, when you place a lucky 15, consisting of 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4
trebles and 1 four-fold, rather than the traditional sportsbook settling all of these bets when the
last leg is complete, your bet will start to settle the moment the result of the first selection is settled.
2.21 SBK reserves the right to determine minimum and maximum wager limits on all events, including on a wager-by-wager basis. The exact value of the wager is specified in the field where the bet amount is entered. SBK and their affiliates make no guarantee that any wager placed within or for the maximum bet shall be accepted.
2.22 You are responsible for ensuring that any bet you place is on your intended selection. For example, in the case of two soccer teams playing each other in different competitions in quick succession you must ensure that you know you are placing the bet on the chosen event.
2.23 The odds listed for a particular bet may be subject to change depending on the size of the wager stake you wish to place. The new odds will be shown to the patron prior to the bet being placed. The patron will have an opportunity to accept the new odds or withdraw their bet.
2.24 Wagering options, other than in-game wagers, are available up until the official start time, unless otherwise specified on the sports wagering platform. Any wager accepted after the official start time, other than in-game wagers, is void.
2.25 You are fully responsible for the bets placed on SBK. SBK will never question you about the relevance of the bets you wish to place and will not be held responsible for mistakes that could have been made during the placing of such bets, including the stake amounts, odds or side of the bet.
2.26 Winnings will be paid into your account once the result of your wager is confirmed. However, SBK reserves the right to set aside any winnings should there be investigations into the result of an event caused by a suspicion of criminal activities that may have affected the result of the event. If the irregularity is confirmed, then SBK retains the right to void any related bets.
2.27 Should SBK become aware that you have placed a number of bets from different accounts you have irregularly opened, all bets will be voided. SBK retains the right to take further action as deemed necessary.
2.28 Our services are provided for legitimate betting purposes only. You agree not to bet on any market with the intention or the effect of adversely affecting its integrity. You also agree not to obstruct or hinder SBK’s business operations.
2.29 In the interest of preserving the integrity and fairness of the sportsbook, SBK retains the right to void bets we deem to be an obvious error (see section 3 below).
2.30 Collusion, either through the use of the public chat facilities or by any other means, is forbidden.
2.31 It is your responsibility to keep records of your transactions.
2.32 You agree to inform us as soon as you encounter any errors in the SBK software.
2.33 SBK accepts various methods for funding Wagering Accounts, such as (but not limited to)
- Wire transfers for deposits into accounts. Wires are subject to pre-approval and may be returned at SBK’s discretion.
- ACH electronic
- Credit card or debit card.
- Any other method as approved by the Indiana Gaming Commission.
2.34 Wagers will not be accepted at other than the posted terms.
3. Cancellation of Wagers
3.1 SBK will only cancel, change, or remove individual betting markets in cases of obvious error. Obvious error is defined as:
3.1.1 A match is cancelled, amended, removed or terminated in such a way that makes it impossible to resolve a wager that has been placed.
3.1.2 An error in event creation leads to the creation of an invalid or unauthorised event.
3.1.3 The odds on offer for the wagering selection are +/- 15% of the ‘fair market price’ at the time of bet placement; with ‘fair market price’ being determined by reference to published odds available elsewhere at the time.
In case of an obvious error then that wager shall be deemed null and void and will be credited back to the Patron’s account.
3.2 SBK management will cancel any bets from Prohibited Sports Wagering Participants, in accordance with Indiana Gaming Commission regulations.
3.3 If SBK management cancels a wager for any reason, any affected patrons will be promptly notified. SBK will cancel a wager in accordance with the rules noted in 3.1 and 3.2 above.
3.4 In the event of a wager placed by a person later determined to be ineligible based on section 1.21 of this document, SBK will void the wager and return any deposited funds.
3.5 Games must be played on a scheduled date. Postponement that exceeds 24 hours constitutes no action and money will be refunded. When an event is cancelled, all related bets will be void automatically. If any event is abandoned due to injury, bad weather, crowd trouble, etc., all bets that have already been settled up until the time of abandonment will stand.
4. Self-Exclusion
4.1 An individual may request to have their name placed on the Company’s Voluntary Self-Exclusion List by completing a Self-Exclusion application and following the outlined procedures. The process provides that a person’s request to be voluntarily excluded shall be for a minimum period of six months, also providing the ability to do a 12 or 60 month exclusion.
4.2 The Indiana Gaming Commission maintains a Voluntary Exclusion Program (VEP) allowing individuals to self-exclude from all Indiana casinos by completing just one form. A person may sign up at any Indiana casino, at the IGC office in Indianapolis or with a designated problem gambling treatment provider for one year, five years or lifetime exclusion. More information may be found here: https://www.in.gov/igc/2331.htm
4.3 The Indiana Gaming Commission also maintains the Indiana Internet Self-Restriction Program (ISRP) which enables individuals to request to be barred from participating in licensed mobile sports wagering in Indiana. A person may sign up for the ISRP online via the IGC website at www.in.gov/igc/ISRP. A person may select the length of self-restriction of one year or five years.
4.4 SBK offers the following options for gaming responsibly:
- Deposit Limit – Set the maximum deposit limit for a selected time frame: daily, weekly, or monthly.
