SBK Iowa – Specific Sport Rules
11. American Football Rules
These American Football Rules apply to all SBK markets offered in Iowa and must be read together with the General Betting Rules (Sections 1–10) and SBK’s Terms & Conditions. Where a conflict exists, these sport-specific rules prevail.
11.1 General Settlement
- Unless expressly stated otherwise in the market name or description, **all markets are settled on the game result including overtime.
- If the game remains tied after overtime, wagers on outright match winner (moneyline without a “tie” option) are void. Markets that explicitly include a tie/draw selection will settle accordingly.
11.2 Postponements, Abandonments & Timeframes
- If a game does not start on the scheduled start date and is not completed within 36 hours of the original scheduled completion date, all bets are void, except those already unconditionally determined.
-
If a game starts but is later postponed/abandoned, then within 72 hours of the initial start time either:
- (a) at least 55 minutes of game time must have been played; or
-
(b) an official result must be declared.
If neither (a) nor (b) occurs, all undetermined bets are void.
11.3 Coin Toss Markets
- Pre-game coin toss markets settle on the official result. If the toss is repeated due to a foul throw, settlement is based on the final official toss result.
11.4 Outrights & Season-Long Markets
- Outright Winner (league/conference/division) markets settle on the winner named by the relevant governing body, regardless of subsequent disqualification or amendments, provided a winner is officially declared. Dead-Heat rules may apply.
- All outright bets stand regardless of changes to season length or format so long as a winner is officially declared.
11.5 Player Participation & Scoring Markets
-
First Touchdown Scorer / Anytime Touchdown Scorer:
- Bets void if the listed player is inactive (per official game status).
-
For “First TD Scorer,” the player must score the first offensive touchdown of the game for his team’s offense; if the first TD is scored by defense or special teams, settlement follows market rules (e.g., D/ST selection where offered).
-
Player Props (yards, receptions, attempts, etc.):
- If a player is inactive, related props are void.
- If a player is active but sees no snap (per official participation data), SBK will void those player prop markets unless settlement can be unconditionally determined by official stats (e.g., “Under 0.5 receptions” where no participation rules are explicitly stated otherwise in market notes).
11.6 Handicaps & Totals
- Point Spreads (Handicap): If the final score, after applying the stated handicap, results in a tie/push, all bets on that market are void unless the market explicitly notes otherwise.
- Totals (Over/Under): If the combined total points equals the posted line (a push), all bets are void, unless the market explicitly notes a half-point or alternative settlement rule.

11.8 Data & Settlement Sources

17.1.3 Incomplete Matches:
Where a match is abandoned after having commenced, bets will stand on markets that have been unconditionally determined (e.g., first-half markets if the first half was completed). All other bets will be voided.

All markets include extra innings unless explicitly stated otherwise.
18.1.4 Minimum Innings for Validity:
- Run Line / Total Runs / Total Hits: At least nine innings (or 8.5 innings if the home team is ahead) must be completed unless the market outcome has already been unconditionally determined.
